COVID-19 Update for April: We continue to be here for you.

Dear valued DRN members,

 We wanted to provide an update on our response to the challenging situation our communities and country faces due to the COVID-19.

We continue to be here for you.

We want to assure you that telecommunications services are considered essential businesses. Our team continues to serve our communities with the services you need. To do our part to slow the spread of the COVID-19 virus, our current status is:

  1. Business Office Update:
    1. Our business offices are currently closed to walk-in traffic (to protect employees/ customers and based on the CDC recommendations). We are actively serving customers and can take care of your needs via the following:
    2. Many of our employees are now working from home.  We apologize in advance for background noises or response time delays as we adjust to this new service model.
  2. Field Technicians Update: We continue to take care of install and repair calls. We are prioritizing the calls based on need and safety, so please be patient. We are attempting to do all we can to resolve the issues without dispatching a technician to the home or business.  In some cases, we are being quite creative and using technology to assist with the resolutions.
  3. We connected over 90 Internet connections for students.  Due to the pandemic, schools were asked to conduct their classes via distance learning.  DRN connected over 90 students within 2 weeks so students were able to connect to their teachers and fellow students.
  4. Keep Americans Connected.  We are participating in FCC’s Keep Americans Connected.  We will not disconnect your essential services due to the inability to pay during the pandemic. https://www.fcc.gov/keep-americans-connected

 

Our Network is Performing Well

Our network is handling the increased Internet traffic very well. If your service is not meeting your needs, please reach out and we will do all we can to improve your Internet connections and/or other services.
