The DRN Board of Directors recently approved a $3.5 million payout in capital credits this year to members. Over 8,700 members will receive capital credits retired from the remainder of 2008, 15% from 2010, and 13% for 2020.
DRN Board President Ralph Neu is happy to share the cooperative’s success with its members. According to Neu, “Our Board of Directors is pleased with our positive growth and the recent net margins allowing us to pay out these capital credits. Members will see money returned to them in the form of capital credits. It pays to be a member of DRN.”
On average this year, DRN is returning $390 per account. Credits less than $200 will show as a credit on members’ DRN accounts in December. For customers who have earned more than $200, a check will be issued and mailed in early December. Account information must be complete to receive capital credits, including a social security number or federal ID.
DRN telephone and Internet subscribers are automatically members/owners. The cooperative’s mission is to provide state-of-the-art telecommunication services at a fair price. Capital credits are retired at the discretion of DRN’s Board of Directors based on the financial health of the cooperative.
