ReadiTech, a DRN Company, announced it will begin the construction process to deploy its fiber-optic service bringing lightning-fast and reliable Internet to Mapleton, N.D.

Crews will begin fiber placement at the Mapleton Public School this fall, as weather permits. Next spring, plans are to finish building the 100% fiber network within the city providing Mapleton residents with Internet speeds up to 1GB and phone service.

According to Kent Schimke, DRN ReadiTech CEO/general manager, “We are very excited to bring the community of Mapleton our state-of-the-art fiber optic services with plans for the near future to provide Internet speeds up to 10 GB! What sets our 100% fiber-optic Internet apart from other providers is our network can handle multiple online devices within a home or office and has nearly limitless potential for growth as Internet speed increase into the future. We are very proud of the fact that other Internet providers aren’t able to offer that type of service reliability as online traffic increases,” said Schimke.

“Expanding service to Mapleton is a very good fit with our existing networks,” said Ralph Neu, DRN ReadiTech’s board president. “It gives us the opportunity to provide the Mapleton area with a high level of service they deserve. In recent times across our country, we all have become more aware of the importance of an effective, fast and reliable fiber network," continued Neu.

“We look forward to growing the relationship between DRN ReadiTech and Mapleton as we work together to build a prosperous and successful future for the community and its residents!” said CEO/GM Schimke. President Neu, CEO/GM Schimke and DRN ReadiTech’s board are proud to invest in rural North Dakota with fiber-optic service to support the North Dakotan economy. ReadiTech knows investing in the network builds a better future for North Dakotans to connect with family and friends, participate in distance learning, to see a medical practitioner through telemedicine, to work—whether from home or the office, and to operate business seamlessly.
