We understand that many users love their Windows 7 because they are simply comfortable with the use and don’t see the need to make the change. That’s a natural reaction when users hear the words “software upgrade”. So why is upgrading to Windows 10 a must?
The startup speed of Windows 10 is one of the best benefits experienced by making the move. I have never heard a computer user wish that their computer would slow down. Therefore, I believe you will enjoy the speed of Windows 10 startup.
In addition, to the speed of Windows 10 startup, the startup menu is back. The startup menu in Windows 10 is not identical to the one in Windows 7 but its functionality is similar. You can turn off your computer right from the Start menu and launch applications using the search box.
While it’s a good idea to backup important data before performing any upgrade, if the upgrade is performed properly you should not lose your personal data such as documents and pictures when you upgrade your existing Windows 7 to Windows 10.
Most of the programs that are compatible with Windows 7 work great on Windows 10 as well. You might be asked to remove your antivirus software during the upgrade though. We encourage you to check what programs you can keep during the upgrade by running Windows 10 Upgrade Advisor tool.
The main reason every user should upgrade before the Windows 7 end of life date, which is January 14th, 2020, is to protect and secure your operating system and reduce security risks that are involved with a non-supported operating system.
